Pets
Sorry, we do not accept pets.

Smoking
The Belfry is 100% no smoking. Smoking is forbidden anywhere in the building, bedrooms, bathrooms and communal guest areas. If guests wish to smoke outside please be considerate to others and place all litter in a bin. The Belfry reserves the rights to levy an additional cleaning fee of £100.

Price
The price includes accommodation and breakfast. At the time of booking, a deposit equivalent to a one-night’s stay per room is required to secure a reservation.
The balance of your booking will become due on the day of departure, payable in cash or by debit/credit card.
We accept all debit and credit cards but unfortunately do not accept American Express or Diners Club.

Cancellation policy
If you need to alter or cancel your booking please contact us as soon as possible.
If it is necessary for guests to either alter or cancel their travel arrangements, we will attempt to re-sell the booking. Where this is possible we will refund any deposit already received, less an administration charge of £5 per room. We will only retain deposits in the unusual instance where we are unable to re-sell.
If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, you’ll be charged for the full length of your stay.
We recommend you check your travel insurance covers you for cancellations due to emergency situations.

Coronavirus Addition
To add extra confidence and ensure your and our health we will move bookings free of charge if you contract coronavirus and/or are required to self-isolate during the period of your booking.
We hope you will understand that we will need to see written evidence that you have been requested to self-isolate via the Government test and trace program.

Lockdown Addition
Should travel restrictions relating to coronavirus be put in place such that you cannot travel to Whitby your booking will be moved free of charge.

Non-availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival
Please feel free to arrive at any time to pick up a permit to park your car. Your room will be ready for check-in from 3pm.

Departure
Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10:30 on the day of departure. It may be possible for you to leave your bags with us, if you are staying in Whitby for the day. Your account is payable on departure, however if you are leaving early please make arrangements to settle your account on the day prior to departure.

Parking
As with the majority of guest accommodation in Whitby, on-street parking is available on a first come, first served basis.
Everyone staying at The Belfry will be given complimentary parking permit for their stay. So on arrival, please double-park your car outside the guest house and come in to say hello so we can give you your permit.
At peak times there is the opportunity to use a pay and display car park located behind the guest house.

Damages and breakages
Please take care with our accommodation, we take great pride in providing excellent facilities and high levels of cleanliness. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur.

A nominal charge of £25 will be levied for replacement room keys should the need arise.

Liability
The Belfry does not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to you and any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions.

Data
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer. Information will not be shared with third parties.
